ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a special program designed to help people in treatment for opioid use disorder. The main goal is to see if this program, which encourages people to share their experiences and feelings about their treatment, can lead to better recovery outcomes after one year. Participants in the trial will take part in a brief session where they will learn skills to help them talk about their opioid use disorder and treatment. There will also be a comparison group that will receive the same program later, which helps researchers understand the effects of the intervention.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be a client at Brandywine Counseling & Community Services and currently receiving treatment for opioid use disorder. You should also be open to the idea of sharing your history of opioid use and treatment with someone new. However, if you have a diagnosis of schizophrenia or have already participated in a pilot study of this intervention, you would not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to engage in an empowering experience that may help improve your recovery journey.
