ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method to manage pain after a specific type of jaw surgery called bimaxillary osteotomy. This surgery is performed to correct problems with the jaw and face that can affect both appearance and function. The researchers want to see if using ultrasound-guided injections to block the maxillary nerve can help reduce pain for patients after their surgery. This approach is important because managing pain effectively can improve recovery.
To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult who is scheduled for bimaxillary surgery. However, if you are under 18, have other surgeries planned at the same time, or have certain allergies, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive the nerve block after your surgery to help manage pain. This trial aims to find better ways to keep patients comfortable during recovery, and your participation could contribute to important findings in pain management for future patients.
