ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how well patients can see after receiving a special type of eye lens called an extended depth of focus intraocular lens. Researchers want to compare the results between two groups: one that gets the lens with the help of digital technology and another that gets it without that assistance. The aim is to find out if using digital tools during the procedure makes a difference in how well people see afterward.

To participate in this study, individuals must be over the age of 45 and have been diagnosed with a specific type of cataract (grade 2 cataracts). Unfortunately, those who cannot understand Greek, have certain eye conditions like glaucoma, or have had previous eye surgeries are not eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your vision checked after the surgery to see how well the two methods work. This research is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve eye care for others in the future.
