ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to better manage infections in children who are using a special heart device called the Berlin Heart (BH) EXCOR. This device helps kids with severe heart failure by providing support while they wait for a heart transplant. Unfortunately, infections can be a big problem for these patients, and this study aims to learn more about how to prevent and treat these infections effectively.
To participate in this trial, children under 18 years old who are currently using the Berlin Heart device at a hospital in Lyon, France, may be eligible. The trial is actively recruiting participants. Kids who join the study will help researchers understand the best ways to handle infections, which can improve their care and outcomes. It's important to know that this study is focused on gathering information to create better treatment guidelines for managing infections in young patients with heart support devices.
