ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new program called "Living With Type 1 Diabetes to Grown-Up," which is an interactive podcast designed to help young people with type 1 diabetes manage their condition as they transition into adulthood. The study aims to see how effective this podcast is for individuals aged 16 to 25 who have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Participants will need to have had diabetes for more than six months and have an average blood sugar level (measured by HbA1C) of 7.5% or higher in the year before joining.
To be eligible, participants must be able to communicate in Chinese or Mandarin and have a smartphone with internet access. They will also need to agree to have their voices recorded during sessions that explain the treatment process. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, and those with other serious health issues or cognitive impairments will not be included. If you're interested, it’s important to know that a parent or legal guardian will need to provide consent for participants under 18. This study could provide valuable support for young adults managing diabetes, helping them navigate their health more confidently as they grow up.
