ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how bariatric surgery, a procedure for weight loss, affects people who have lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), which can include issues like frequent urination or difficulty urinating. The study aims to gather and compare information from patients with severe obesity who are being treated at two healthcare centers in Hong Kong. By collecting this data, researchers hope to see how patients' experiences differ between those who undergo surgery and those who do not, and how outcomes in Hong Kong compare to other places.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults over 18 years old with a Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 25, and they must be seeking treatment for severe obesity at one of the participating clinics. Participants will be asked to give their consent to join the study. This trial is currently recruiting and welcomes all genders. If you decide to take part, you can expect to share your health information, which will help improve understanding and treatment options for individuals facing similar health challenges.
