ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying patients who have experienced a cardiac arrest and were successfully resuscitated, focusing specifically on complications that can occur while they are on a ventilator in the intensive care unit (ICU). These complications, known as ventilator-associated events, can affect the patient's recovery, and the study aims to understand how common they are, what factors might contribute to them, and what the outcomes are for patients who experience these events.
To participate in this trial, patients need to be adults (both men and women) who were successfully revived after a cardiac arrest and require mechanical ventilation for at least four days. They should not have made any decisions to limit life support within the first day of being in the ICU. Participants will be helping researchers gather important information that could improve care for future patients. It's important to note that patients who do not wish to have their data used in this study are not eligible to participate.
