ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how relaxing breathing exercises can help reduce stress for medical students taking a challenging exam called the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). This exam is important for their training and can cause a lot of performance anxiety. The study aims to see if taking a moment to practice standardized relaxing breathing before moving to each new station of the exam can help students feel calmer and perform better.
The trial is open to all medical students who are voluntarily participating in their exams in June 2024 at the University of Lyon. There are no specific exclusions, so as long as you are a second-cycle medical student taking the OSCE, you can join. If you participate, you can expect to try these breathing exercises before each part of the exam, which may help you manage stress and anxiety during this important testing period.
