ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how having a therapy dog present can help children feel less stressed during blood or dental procedures. The study aims to see if the presence of a friendly dog can make it easier for healthcare professionals to perform these tasks and if it can lower the emotional stress for both the child and their family member who is with them.

To participate, children aged 3 to 12 years old who need a blood or dental extraction can join the study, provided they are willing and have no allergies or fears related to dogs. If they do participate, they can expect to spend time with a therapy dog during their procedure, which may help them feel more relaxed. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it is important for families to know that everyone involved will be informed about the study and will need to agree to participate before it begins.
