ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of oxytocin during a medical procedure called dilatation and curettage (D&C), which is performed for women who have experienced a missed abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy. The main goal is to see if oxytocin can help reduce bleeding during the procedure and to check for any complications that might arise from using it.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 and older who are having a D&C due to a missed miscarriage (between 6 to 11 weeks of pregnancy) at Assuta Ashdod Hospital may be eligible. However, individuals with certain health conditions, such as heart disease or specific uterine abnormalities, or those who cannot tolerate oxytocin will not be able to join. If you decide to take part, you'll receive information about the study and what it involves, and you'll be monitored for any side effects or complications during and after the procedure.
