ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well an advanced computer program, known as artificial intelligence (AI), can help doctors find certain types of growths in the colon, called adenomas, during a procedure called a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is a test that allows doctors to look inside the colon to check for any abnormalities. Researchers will compare how effective the AI-assisted colonoscopy is against the traditional method to see if using AI can help doctors detect more of these growths.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and must require a screening colonoscopy. However, people who have had previous colon surgery, have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer, or have certain other medical conditions will not be able to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo a colonoscopy using either the AI-assisted method or the standard method, and your results will help researchers understand if this technology can improve cancer detection in the future. The trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to gather important information for better diagnosis of colon health issues.
