ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effectiveness of ozone therapy for treating Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), a condition that causes pain and discomfort in the wrist and hand due to pressure on a nerve. The study aims to compare ozone therapy with another treatment called Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) in addition to standard treatments like splinting and exercises. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will receive ozone therapy three times over three weeks, while the other group will receive ESWT during the same period.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate CTS for at least three months. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as previous surgeries on the hand or neck, pregnancy, or specific nerve issues, will not be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo either ozone therapy or ESWT, along with some exercises and splinting, to help manage your symptoms. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so it's a good opportunity to explore a new treatment option for CTS.
