ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether adding a medication called Dexamethasone to a specific pain relief technique can help patients who are having total knee replacement surgery. The study focuses on patients with knee conditions like arthritis and chronic pain. By injecting Dexamethasone into the area behind the knee, researchers hope to see if it improves pain relief during and after the surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 65 years old and scheduled for total knee replacement surgery. They also need to be able to understand the study details and communicate their symptoms to the research team. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive either the Dexamethasone injection or a different treatment as part of your care. The goal is to find better ways to manage pain for those undergoing knee surgery, which could lead to improved recovery for future patients.
