ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring why some smokers have a harder time staying smoke-free after they try to quit. Researchers want to understand how a person's ability to manage their emotions and how their brain reacts to stress might affect their chances of going back to smoking. Participants in the study will go through tests to measure their emotional control and brain activity while experiencing stress. After a day without nicotine, they will take part in a special program designed to help them quit smoking, and their progress will be tracked for six months.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old, smoke at least 10 cigarettes a day for the last two years, and be ready to quit. You should not be taking any medications for mental or physical health issues, be pregnant, or have a serious illness. If you join the study, you can expect to take part in assessments and a quitting program aimed at increasing your chances of staying smoke-free. This trial is currently looking for participants, and both men and women are welcome to apply.
