ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether adding a medication called Dexamethasone to a specific type of pain management technique (known as a Periarticular Nerve Group Block) can help patients undergoing total hip replacement surgery use a lower amount of another pain relief medication called Ropivacaine. The goal is to see if this combination can provide effective pain relief while minimizing the amount of Ropivacaine needed.
To participate in this trial, you must be scheduled for total hip replacement surgery and be between the ages of 65 and 100. You should also be able to understand and discuss your symptoms with the research team. If you have any trouble understanding or providing consent due to cognitive issues or language barriers, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive care and monitoring related to your pain management during your surgery, and your experience will help researchers learn more about improving pain relief for future patients.
