ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a specific type of pain management technique called a two-level erector spinae plane block (ESPB) for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty, which is a surgery to replace a damaged knee joint. The goal is to see if this technique can help reduce pain after surgery for people who suffer from conditions like knee osteoarthritis and chronic knee pain.
To participate in this trial, you must be at least 65 years old and able to give your consent for the study. You also need to be able to communicate your symptoms effectively to the research team. Unfortunately, if you have a cognitive impairment or a language barrier that prevents you from understanding the study, you won't be able to join. If you do participate, you can expect to receive the two-level ESPB during your surgery, and the research team will closely monitor your pain levels and recovery process afterward. This study is currently looking for volunteers, and it aims to improve pain management for knee surgery patients.
