ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new prevention program called the BOAT, designed to reduce violence in middle schools. The program aims to help students aged 13 to 17 by providing tools and resources that can prevent them from becoming involved in violence, either as victims or perpetrators. The BOAT includes 134 easy-to-use intervention sheets that focus on various themes related to violence and promote positive behaviors among students.
To participate in this study, middle school students in the fourth or ninth grade from selected schools can be included, as well as the educational professionals and teachers at those schools. However, students or their parents can choose not to participate if they feel uncomfortable. It’s important to note that participants need to understand and be able to communicate in French to take part in the trial. Overall, the study aims to create a safer school environment by equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to address violence effectively.
