ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new device designed to help people with diabetic neuropathy, a condition that affects the nerves in the feet and can cause pain, numbness, and balance issues. The researchers are testing a wearable system that uses gentle electrical stimulation through special socks to help restore lost feeling in the feet and reduce nerve pain. This system includes sensors in the shoes that monitor how the person is walking and automatically adjusts the stimulation to provide the right amount of support.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74, have been diagnosed with polyneuropathy, and be able to stand and walk without assistance. However, those with open wounds on their feet, pregnant individuals, or those with certain mental health conditions cannot take part. Participants can expect to wear the device during the study and may experience improvements in their sensation and pain levels. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, and it's an opportunity to contribute to research that could help many others facing similar challenges.
