ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether practicing yoga can help improve thinking and memory skills in individuals who have experienced unipolar depression, which is a type of depression without mood swings. The researchers want to see if engaging in specific yoga exercises can enhance cognitive abilities, even after a person feels better from their depressive episodes.
To join the study, individuals need to be between 18 and 60 years old and must have had at least one episode of depression that is now under control. However, people with certain conditions, like severe mental illnesses or significant cognitive problems, won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in yoga sessions and will be monitored throughout the study. This research could provide valuable insights into how yoga might support mental health recovery and cognitive function.
