ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how bronchial asthma, a common lung condition, might be related to chronic kidney disease, which is a long-term problem that affects how well the kidneys work. The study aims to understand how often kidney issues occur in people with asthma and to identify factors that might put them at greater risk. Researchers will also explore whether the severity of asthma could lead to kidney problems and how certain markers in the body, which indicate inflammation, relate to both asthma severity and kidney health.
The trial is currently recruiting participants, specifically children aged 2 to 18 who have been diagnosed with bronchial asthma and do not have any other chronic illnesses. If eligible, participants will undergo various clinical tests to monitor their asthma and kidney health. It’s important to know that those with other significant health issues or those unable to provide consent will not be included in this study. This research could help identify young asthma patients who may need closer attention to prevent kidney problems in the future.
