ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to check the health of kidney transplants in adults without needing to perform invasive procedures, like kidney biopsies. Researchers are using advanced imaging techniques called Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography and Ultrasound Localization Microscopy to see how well the transplanted kidney is functioning. The goal is to find safer and easier ways to monitor the condition of kidney transplants, which could help many patients in the future.

If you are an adult who has received a kidney transplant and your doctor has recommended a biopsy as part of your routine care, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants must be at least 18 years old and provide written consent. However, individuals with allergies to certain contrast agents, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with tattoos in the areas being examined cannot take part. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo non-invasive tests that will help researchers learn more about the health of kidney transplants, potentially benefiting future patients as well.
