ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different teaching methods can help improve communication among healthcare teams during emergency situations in anesthesia. Specifically, it compares two ways of learning: reading a text versus watching an educational video. The study aims to see which method helps healthcare professionals communicate more effectively when faced with a crisis, which is important for ensuring patient safety and reducing complications after surgery.
Eligible participants for this trial are anesthesia residents and nurse anesthetists who are willing to take part in high-pressure simulation scenarios after using either the text or video for training. Participants will spend about 15 minutes with their chosen educational tool before engaging in two simulation exercises. Throughout these exercises, their communication skills will be evaluated by experts, focusing on how well they follow secure communication practices. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable insights that could lead to better training methods for those working in high-stakes medical situations.
