ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring ways to improve the happiness and mental health of adolescents by helping them discover their personal talents and life goals. Researchers believe that when teenagers have a clear sense of direction and purpose, it can lead to greater life satisfaction and potentially reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. The study involves a structured program where participants will attend eight weekly sessions that focus on identifying their strengths and talents. They will complete questionnaires to measure their life satisfaction and any psychological distress before and after the program.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between 14 and 18 years old and currently attending school. However, those who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder recently, are receiving active psychological treatment, or have experienced bullying or substance abuse issues are not eligible to participate. Throughout the trial, participants will either engage in the talent discovery sessions or be placed on a waiting list for two months. This research aims to find out if discovering and developing personal talents can significantly enhance the overall well-being of adolescents.
