ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Mobility Assessment in Multi-morbidity," is looking to better understand how multiple long-term health conditions affect a person's ability to walk and move in their daily life. As many older adults have more than one health issue, like arthritis, asthma, or heart disease, the researchers want to develop and test new tools that can accurately measure walking speed and patterns in these individuals. By doing this, they hope to improve how healthcare providers can assess mobility challenges faced by older adults with multiple conditions.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 65 years old and have two or more of the following conditions: arthritis, asthma, heart problems, depression or anxiety, diabetes, or other specified illnesses. Participants will be asked to share their experiences with mobility and may undergo tests in a lab setting as well as in their everyday environment. The researchers are committed to including patient feedback throughout the study to ensure that it addresses the real concerns of those living with multiple health issues. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, this study could help improve understanding and support for older adults facing mobility challenges.
