ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different techniques and table heights affect the process of intubating newborns, which is an important procedure to help babies breathe when they are in distress. Researchers will compare two methods: using a direct laryngoscope (a tool to see the airway directly) and a video laryngoscope (which uses a camera) while working on a lifelike manikin of a newborn. They will look at how much force is applied during the procedure, how quickly the intubation is successful, and what the healthcare providers think about each method.
To participate in this trial, eligible individuals include consultants and pediatric residents working in Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs). Participants will have the opportunity to test both intubation methods while varying the height of the resuscitation table. This study aims to gather valuable insights that can improve how healthcare providers perform intubation on newborns in real-life situations.
