ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether certain blood test results can help predict complications after heart surgery. Specifically, researchers are studying three blood measurements: the ratio of neutrophils to lymphocytes, the ratio of platelets to lymphocytes, and a general measure of inflammation. They believe these measurements might indicate the risk of infections and problems with multiple organs, which can occur after surgery.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and have undergone heart surgery that involved a heart-lung machine. Participants will need to agree to take part in the study voluntarily. If you join the trial, you’ll be helping researchers understand how these blood tests can improve patient care after surgery. The study is currently recruiting participants, and anyone interested should consider discussing it with their healthcare provider for more information.
