ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying different types of retainers to see which one is best at keeping your teeth in place after orthodontic treatment, especially for those who have had lower front teeth that were crowded. The trial compares three options: a fixed retainer that is glued in place, a vacuum-formed retainer that you can remove, and a combination of both. By figuring out which method works best, the researchers hope to provide better recommendations for patients who have had treatment to straighten their teeth without removing any teeth.

To participate, you need to be an adult who has completed orthodontic treatment without extractions and has healthy teeth and gums. You should have good oral hygiene and no significant dental issues. If you join the study, you will have your previous orthodontic appliance removed and follow up at one week, one month, and three months after getting your new retainer. This trial is currently recruiting, and all types of adults can participate, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
