ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different types of exercise programs—sensory integration therapy and balance board training—to see which one helps older adults improve their balance and stability. Good balance is crucial for walking safely and can help prevent falls, which is a major concern for older people. The goal is to find out how these exercises can enhance the quality of life and independence for seniors living in the community.
To participate in this study, you should be an older adult who lives independently, has no recent injuries to your legs, and scores well on certain mental and balance tests. Specifically, you should have a mental score of 24 or higher and a balance score between 41 and 56. If you have had recent heart or brain issues, certain surgeries, or problems with dizziness, you may not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to engage in the exercise programs, helping researchers understand how they can benefit older adults like you.
