ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is comparing two types of laser eye surgeries—KLEx and FemtoLASIK—to see which one is better for treating vision problems like nearsightedness (myopia) and astigmatism. FemtoLASIK involves creating a thin flap in the cornea and then reshaping it, while KLEx works differently by extracting a small piece of tissue without creating a flap. The goal is to find out which method is safer and more effective for improving vision.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 21 years old and have specific types of vision issues: myopia between -0.50 and -12.00 diopters and astigmatism between -0.50 and -6.00 diopters. You should not have had any previous eye surgeries, be pregnant, or have unstable vision problems. If you join the study, you will undergo one of these two surgeries and be monitored to see how well your vision improves over time. This trial is still in the planning stage and has not started recruiting participants yet.
