ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how specific manual therapy techniques can affect the autonomic nervous system, which helps regulate many automatic body functions like heart rate and digestion. Researchers want to see if these techniques can improve the balance between two parts of the autonomic nervous system: the "rest and digest" part (parasympathetic activity) and the "fight or flight" part (sympathetic activity). This is important because an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system may lead to symptoms in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and migraines.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and provide informed consent. However, you won't be eligible if you regularly consume alcohol or illegal drugs, take certain medications that affect the autonomic nervous system, have specific health conditions like anxiety or chronic fatigue, or if you are pregnant. If you join the trial, you'll receive manual therapy techniques to see how they influence your body’s automatic functions. The study is currently looking for participants, so if you're interested, make sure to check if you meet the eligibility criteria!
