ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how hearing disorders may affect cognitive problems, such as memory loss and confusion, particularly in people living in challenging situations. Researchers want to understand if providing hearing aids to individuals with both hearing and cognitive difficulties can help improve their mental health and overall quality of life. This is especially important in the Seine Saint Denis area, where many people face economic hardships that may lead to faster declines in cognitive abilities.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 18 years old and have been seen by a memory specialist for issues related to thinking or memory. They should have a confirmed cognitive impairment but not currently use a hearing aid. Participants need to be comfortable reading and writing in French. The trial is not yet recruiting, but once it starts, participants can expect support and evaluations to see how hearing aids might benefit their cognitive health.
