ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an educational program can help marble factory workers protect themselves from lung diseases caused by dust exposure. Marble cutting can lead to serious health problems like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) because many workers don’t know about the risks and often lack proper safety equipment. The program aims to teach workers about these dangers and how to work safely, which could improve their overall health and reduce issues related to lifting heavy loads and poor posture.
To participate in this study, workers need to be adult males aged between 20 and 55, have been working in a marble factory for at least a year, and work a minimum of 6 hours each day. Unfortunately, workers who already have lung diseases or other health hazards, or those who do not wish to join the study, will not be eligible. Those who participate can expect to learn valuable information that could help them stay healthier on the job. Overall, the findings from this trial could lead to better safety practices in the marble industry, benefiting many workers.
