ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating two different types of exercise programs to see which one helps people recover better after surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee. The study will compare Low-Load Blood Flow Restriction Training (LL-BFR), which involves exercising with lighter weights while restricting blood flow to the muscles, against Traditional Resistance Training (T-RT), which uses heavier weights without any restrictions. Researchers want to find out which method is more effective in improving muscle strength, flexibility, pain levels, and swelling in the knee.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have undergone ACL reconstruction surgery within the last eight weeks and should not have any serious health conditions that could affect their recovery. The study will involve 32 people who will be divided into two groups to follow their assigned exercise program for eight weeks. Throughout the trial, participants will have their progress tracked at various points, helping to determine which training method may lead to better recovery outcomes for those with ACL injuries.
