ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two different devices used for breathing support—an oronasal mask and a helmet—affect blood flow in healthy adults. The researchers want to see if using a helmet for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) ventilation leads to less blood flow in the carotid artery, which is an important vessel that supplies blood to the brain. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it will include adults aged 18 and older who can give their informed consent.
To be part of this trial, participants should not have any known heart, lung, or blood vessel diseases, a history of concussions, or frequent headaches. If eligible, participants will help researchers understand how these two devices work during breathing support therapy, which can be important for improving treatment options in the future.
