ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving postpartum healthcare for women in the Mississippi Delta, particularly for Black women and their families. The goal is to create better connections between patients and healthcare providers to build trust and engagement in maternal health. With high rates of maternal mortality and health issues in this region, the study aims to develop new ways of communicating and sharing important health information. By working closely with the community, the researchers hope to reduce preventable maternal health problems and ensure that all women receive the care they need.
To participate in this study, women must be between 18 and 45 years old, have experienced a high-risk pregnancy, and live in one of five specific counties: Washington, Bolivar, Scott, Humphreys, or Carroll. Participants can expect to be involved in discussions and activities that focus on improving their healthcare experience and addressing any challenges they face. This research is important because it seeks to understand and meet the unique needs of postpartum women in this area, ultimately aiming for healthier outcomes for mothers and their families.
