ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how general anesthesia affects blood pressure and eye pressure in older patients who are having cataract surgery. The main goal is to understand how a patient's overall health and frailty—meaning how strong or weak they are—relate to their blood pressure before the surgery. Additionally, the study will examine how the pressure inside the eye changes before and after the surgery in connection with these frailty scores.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 65 and 85 years old and have a certain level of health (classified as ASA I-III, which means you’re generally healthy to moderately ill). However, if you have conditions like certain heart diseases, advanced lung problems, or diabetes, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to have your blood pressure and eye pressure monitored before and after your cataract surgery to help researchers gather important information. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it's important to know that your involvement will help improve understanding of how anesthesia affects older adults during surgery.
