ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the outcomes of patients who have undergone surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon, specifically focusing on how well the surgery worked over a period of at least two years. The researchers want to find out how the patients are doing both in terms of their physical health and through special imaging tests that look inside the body. They will check for any complications, like the loosening of the surgical anchors or abnormal bone growth, which can affect movement.
To be part of this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have had surgery to fix their biceps tendon within 30 days of their injury. Only those who had the surgery using a specific method at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute between January 2017 and December 2022 can join. If you decide to participate, you'll receive a clinical examination and imaging tests to assess your recovery and strength in the affected arm compared to the other arm. This trial could help improve future treatments for similar injuries.
