ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called the Dental Anxiety Coping Module (DACM) to see how it helps children who feel anxious about visiting the dentist. The researchers want to find out if this program can lower anxiety levels in children aged 7 to 11 years old. They will compare two groups of children: one group will receive the DACM, while the other will not, to see if there are any differences in their anxiety levels before and after using the program.
To participate in the trial, children should be Malaysian, aged between 7 to 11 years, and able to understand basic Malay or English. They need to have a certain level of dental anxiety, measured using specific tools, and be in generally good health. Children with emergency dental needs or certain disabilities will not be eligible. If selected, participants will go through the DACM and their anxiety levels will be monitored throughout the process. This study aims to help improve dental visits for anxious children, making their experiences more comfortable and less stressful.
