ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring new methods to improve prosthetic hands for people who have lost their upper limbs. The goal is to not only help users move their prosthetic hands more effectively but also to provide them with a sense of touch and feedback from their surroundings. By using advanced technology to better understand muscle signals and applying a method called TENS (which can send gentle electrical impulses to stimulate the nerves), the researchers hope to create prosthetic systems that feel more natural and responsive.
To participate in this study, you need to be between the ages of 18 and 65 and have a stable condition after an upper limb amputation. It's important that your skin is healthy at the site of the amputation, and you should be motivated and willing to take part in the research. If you join the trial, you can expect to try out these new techniques and be part of a project aimed at significantly improving prosthetic devices for the future. However, if you have certain medical conditions, like a pacemaker, or if you're pregnant, you won't be eligible for this study.
