ClinConnect Summary
The Virtual peri-/Menopause Registry of Australia (VITAL) is an exciting new study aimed at understanding the experiences and health issues related to menopause and perimenopause in women. Menopause is a natural phase in a woman's life that typically occurs around age 51, marking the end of menstrual periods, but many women face challenges like hot flashes, sleep problems, and emotional changes long before this. This registry will allow women to share their experiences, including any mental health or physical symptoms, which will help researchers develop better strategies for treatment and support. By collecting this information, VITAL hopes to improve healthcare services and raise awareness about menopause-related conditions.
Anyone in Australia who is 18 years or older can participate in this study. There are no specific exclusions, so if you’re interested, you can join and contribute to this important research. Participants will have the chance to share their health information securely, which will help shape future studies and health policies. This initiative not only empowers women to voice their needs but also aims to create a better understanding of menopause and its effects on health, ultimately benefiting communities across Australia and beyond.
