ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new device called ObeEnd, which uses gentle electrical pulses to stimulate a specific point on the wrist that may help control appetite. Researchers aim to see if this device can effectively change appetite-related hormones, potentially helping people with obesity manage their weight more effectively. Since obesity is a growing problem in Canada, finding new ways to help people control their appetite could make a significant difference in improving health and well-being.
To participate in the trial, you must be generally healthy and have obesity, defined as having a body mass index (BMI) over 30. The study is looking for premenopausal women aged between 18 and 65. If you join, you will use the ObeEnd device for about an hour, and researchers will monitor changes in hormones that affect hunger. It’s important to note that individuals with certain health conditions or who use specific medications may not be eligible. This trial could provide valuable insights into how this innovative device might help with weight loss.
