ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a substance called visfatin, which is found in human milk. Researchers want to understand how the levels of visfatin in a mother’s milk might relate to the health of newborns, particularly their birth weight and any weight loss they might experience after birth. By measuring visfatin, doctors hope to find out if it can help predict certain health conditions in newborns.

To be eligible for this study, infants must be healthy, born after 37 weeks of pregnancy, and not have any significant birth defects. Their mothers should be hospitalized and must agree to participate in the trial by signing a consent form. If you choose to participate, you can expect to provide a milk sample, which will help researchers gather information on visfatin levels. This study is currently looking for participants, so if you think you might qualify, consider discussing it with your healthcare provider.
