ClinConnect Summary
The CardioCare Quest trial is focused on improving treatment for high blood pressure (hypertension) among Navajo individuals in Arizona. The study aims to understand the challenges that people face in accessing healthcare and sticking to their treatment plans. To make it easier and more engaging for patients, the researchers will develop a series of fun minigames that will help educate and support individuals in managing their blood pressure. These games will be designed with input from patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure they meet the needs of the community.
To participate in the study, you must be at least 18 years old and either a patient with high blood pressure, a family member, a caretaker, or a healthcare professional involved in hypertension care. The trial is looking specifically for Urban Indigenous individuals from the Navajo Nation living in Flagstaff. However, individuals with severe hypertension or certain medical conditions may not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to share their experiences and opinions about hypertension treatment and the new CardioCare Quest games. This feedback will help shape a better approach to managing high blood pressure in their community.
