ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help people heal from burn scars using a special type of garment designed with 3D printing technology. The trial focuses on a device called an Orthotic Pressure Distribution Garment (ORDP), which is intended to treat hypertrophic scars—thick, raised scars that can form after burns. Researchers want to see if this new method of creating ORDPs is practical to use, and they will also look at how long it takes to make them and how much they cost.
To participate in this study, you must be an adult over 18 years old and have at least one hypertrophic burn scar that is healing and can benefit from wearing a compression garment. You’ll need to be able to provide consent and be part of a social security scheme. Unfortunately, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under legal guardianship, you won't be eligible to join. If you decide to take part, you will be helping researchers learn more about this innovative treatment approach, which could benefit many others in the future.
