ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how different types of food can help with weight control in people who are overweight. Participants will be split into two groups: one group will replace their dinner with a special protein and oil supplement for eight weeks, while the other group will continue with their regular dinners. Throughout the study, researchers will measure things like weight, body composition, and waist and hip sizes to see how each group responds to their different diets.
To join the trial, you need to be between 18 and 60 years old and have a body mass index (BMI) over 23, which indicates being overweight. You should not have any serious health conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes, and you must be willing to attend all study sessions. It's important to note that people who are allergic to certain foods, are on weight control medications, or are pregnant cannot participate. This study aims to understand how dietary changes can impact weight management, and it could provide valuable insights for those looking to control their weight.
