ClinConnect Summary
The Enhancing Care Study is looking at patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), a surgery that helps improve blood flow to the heart. Researchers at Fuwai Hospital are reviewing patient data from January 2013 to June 2023 to better understand the risks of complications that can happen after this surgery. They are particularly interested in factors that might lead to issues like heart rhythm problems or strokes within the first 30 days after the operation. The study aims to find patterns that can help improve patient care after CABG.
To participate in this study, you need to be aged 65 or older and have had CABG at Fuwai Hospital during the specified time. However, patients who had emergency surgery, were diagnosed with certain heart conditions like atrial fibrillation, or were discharged very soon after their surgery will not be included. If you join, you can expect the researchers to collect information about your health history and recovery to help build better strategies for managing care after CABG. This study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve outcomes for future heart surgery patients.
