ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how often patients with cancer may misuse opioids, which are pain-relieving medications commonly prescribed for cancer-related pain. Researchers believe that while opioids can be effective for managing pain, there may be a risk of misuse among patients, especially as more people are living longer with cancer. The trial aims to understand how prevalent this issue is among Danish patients receiving treatment for cancer pain, particularly in oncologic and palliative care settings.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, currently receiving opioids for their cancer pain, and able to communicate in Danish. Those who have severe cognitive difficulties or who choose not to participate will be excluded. If you join the study, you can expect to be part of a discussion that can help improve the understanding of opioid use in cancer care, ultimately aiming to provide better support for patients like you.
