ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the skills and confidence of anesthesiologists in performing a critical emergency procedure called emergency front of neck access (eFONA), specifically in situations where a patient cannot breathe normally. The study aims to teach participants how to perform a cricothyrotomy, a procedure that creates an airway in the neck, using a simple and repeatable training method in a hospital setting. The goal is to ensure that anesthesiologists who have not previously trained in this technique can learn it effectively and gain the confidence needed to use it in real-life emergencies.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be working as assistant doctors in the Anesthesiology and Reanimation Clinic at Kocaeli City Hospital. However, those who have already received training on this specific procedure will not be eligible to join. During the training sessions, participants can expect hands-on practice in a simulated environment, with opportunities for immediate feedback to help improve their skills. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an important step toward enhancing emergency care for patients with difficult airways.
