ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how air pollution and weather conditions affect visits to the emergency department (ED) in Florence. Researchers want to understand if certain air pollutants or weather changes lead to more people needing emergency care. This information could help improve health responses during times of poor air quality or extreme weather.
To participate in this study, you must have visited the emergency department during the study period, and you need to live in the Florence metropolitan area. However, if you were admitted for a traumatic injury, like a car accident, you would not be eligible. If you join the study, you’ll help researchers learn more about the connections between our environment and health, which could benefit the community in the future. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, you may want to consider getting involved.
