ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a medication called levetiracetam on blood health in adults who have epilepsy. Specifically, the researchers want to understand how this treatment might impact different blood parameters, such as the number of red and white blood cells. Levetiracetam is a type of medication used to help control seizures, and the trial aims to see if using it alone (without other medications) for at least six months affects blood counts in any way.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be adults over 18 years old and have been on levetiracetam as their only epilepsy treatment for at least six months. People who have other health conditions that might affect their blood or those who have been using other seizure medications will not be eligible. If you join this trial, you can expect to have your blood tested to monitor these parameters, and you will help contribute to our understanding of how this medication works over time.
